Project description
The Center of Brain, Behavior and Metabolism (CBBM) is an interdisciplinary unit of Lübeck University to research into the interdependencies of the brain, behaviour and metabolic processes and their use in experimental and clinical medicine.
A new building has been built on the Lübeck University campus and was completed within four years. From the outside, it is almost nondescript but, indoors, a transparent world of research opens up. On an area of 5,400 m², around 500 scientists and doctors now work in interdisciplinary research work. The four-storey building measures 40 by 60 metres. The total cost of the new building was around 28.3 million Euros.
General building information
During construction, products from OBO Bettermann were selected and used in the cable support systems, cable routing systems, underfloor systems and device systems fields. Besides the cable trays with integrated quick fastening system, the MKS-Magic® is a square underfloor cassette RKSN2 9 VS 20 has been installed. Thank to its design, the height-adjustable cassette offers a space-saving, comfortable solution for power, data and multimedia source setup. Its height adjustment function allows precise, smooth adjustments to the floor and decoupling of the base - if required.
