The EÜK screed-covered duct system from OBO is the ideal underfloor solution for large areas with fixed furnishing plans – for example, in office or administration buildings. It offers a high level of flexibility in supplying power from the floor and stands out through a two-part underfloor box (UZD), as well as a corresponding two-part EÜK duct. This simplifies the installation of ducts and the routing of cables significantly.

All the advantages at a glance

  • A robust and versatile system: Suitable for all screed types
  • Can be used for a wide range of floor coverings
  • No more tricky cable pulling during installation
  • Faster routing of cables and more simple installation of ducts
  • More flexibility for underfloor installations

Ideal access to the installation: The two-part UZD underfloor box

The two-part UZD underfloor box of the EÜK system makes work on the construction site much easier. This is ensured by the following product properties, among others:

  • Tool-free quick height adjustment of the UZD in the range of 80–160 mm
  • Corner elements in a hybrid design
  • Tool-free use of the protective plate
  • Very large levelling range for a wide variety of floor structures, up to 320 mm, thanks to additional sleeves and height-levelling kits

Easy to mount and solid

The underfloor ducts and underfloor boxes of the EÜK system from OBO are mounted directly onto the raw concrete. To protect against heat losses and ensure the reduction of footfall sound, insulation layers are inserted. These insulation layers surround the duct system completely. Installation in combination with underfloor heating in the screed is also possible. Here, the duct system is below the underfloor heating and is thus completely separate in the insulation layer.

The solid system shows its strengths during the construction phase. It is completely closed during the entire mounting operation. The underfloor sockets are protected by the mounting protection lid. This prevents foreign bodies from entering the system meaning the interior remains clean. In the standard state, the underfloor boxes cover a large height-adjustment range of 80–160 mm in screed height. A further benefit: They are decouplable, so that the underfloor boxes float in the screed. This decoupling avoids cracks in the neighbouring floor covering and screed.

The sockets, data and multimedia connections can be installed flexibly using the OBO Modul 45 series. These modules can be installed using universal supports in all device installation units. These device installation units are available in the form of modular cassettes and service outlets.

Robust and versatile

Whether cement screeds, poured asphalt, floating screeds or heated screeds – the EÜK system is suitable for all screed types. Changes to the floor covering do not represent a problem. The system is suitable not only for all screed types, but can also be used in combination with a wide range of floor coverings, such as stone, marble, wood or textiles. The versatility of the EÜK system is also clear when it comes to maintenance: It is compatible with dry-, damp- and even wet-cleaned floor coverings.
